Properties Three historic
homes owned by the Eleanor Luxton Historical Foundation are
located on Beaver Street in Banff – one of Banff’s
earliest residential streets.

Archives A major
component of the Luxton legacy is the extensive collection
of archival material collected over a life-time by Eleanor
Luxton and left for posterity when she passed away in
1995.

Artifacts
The Eleanor Luxton Historical Foundation collection of artifacts reflects
the lifestyle, personal tastes and interests of Eleanor and her parents, Norman
and Georgina Luxton.

The art in the collection depicts locations, wildlife and
individuals from the Banff area.

The book collection includes
the classics, topics specific to the locale, and reflects family interests
and personal tastes.
- Exhibitions
The opening of the exhibition The Stuff of Legend fulfills a long-held dream of the board of the Eleanor Luxton Historical Foundation. The result is the story of one of the area’s earliest and arguably most interesting pioneer families, which opens April 27, 2008 at the Whyte Museum.
