Visit the Luxton Home and Garden
It is the hope of the Foundation that the Luxton home and
garden will continue to be a tangible link to Banff's history,
and will be enjoyed by townspeople and visitors for many years
to come.
The Luxton Home
Built in about 1905, it was home
to Banff’s Luxton family for 90 years. Norman Luxton,
Georgina McDougall Luxton and their
daughter Eleanor all
played important roles in the development and character of
Banff.
The Luxton Garden Georgie Luxton is credited with growing one of Banff’s
first flower gardens, making the grounds of the house a
very important component in the interpretation of the Luxton
home.
